چکیده

The occurrence of bone-related disorders and diseases has dramatically increased in recent years around the world. Demineralized bone matrix (DBM) been widely used as a implant due to its osteoinduction bioactivity. However, use DBM is limited because it particulate material, which makes difficult manipulate with precision. In addition, these particles are susceptible migration other sites. To address this situation, commonly incorporated into variety carriers. An injectable scaffold advantages over grafts or preformed scaffolds, such ability flow fill defect. aim research was develop carrier viscoelastic properties order obtain an substitute (IBS). developed consisted PVA/glycerol network cross-linked borax reinforced CaCO3 pH neutralizer, porosity generator, source Ca. physicochemical were determined by injectability test, FTIR, SEM, TGA. Porosity, degradation, bioactivity, possible cytotoxic effect, proliferation osteoblasts also determined. results showed that material great potential be tissue regeneration.

Injectable bone substitute using a hydrophilic polymer.

We studied a new injectable biomaterial for bone and dental surgery consisting of a hydrophilic polymer as matrix and bioactive calcium phosphate (CaP) ceramics as fillers. This material is composed of complex fluids whose flow is determined by the laws of rheology. We investigated the macromolecular effects on this composite in a tube. The stability of the polymer and the mixture is essential ...

Grafting Using Injectable Calcium Sulfate in Bone Tumor Surgery: Comparison with Demineralized Bone Matrix-based Grafting

BACKGROUND Injectable calcium sulfate is a clinically proven osteoconductive biomaterial, and it is an injectable, resorbable and semi-structural bone graft material. The purpose of this study was to validate the clinical outcomes of injectable calcium sulfate (ICS) grafts as compared with those of a demineralized bone matrix (DBM)-based graft for filling in contained bony defects created by tu...

Demineralized bone matrix and spinal arthrodesis.

Spinal fusion is a gold-standard treatment for many disorders of the spine with autogenous bone graft as the gold-standard source for augmenting fusion. However, the morbidity and limitations of autogenous bone grafting has motivated the search for bone graft alternatives. One such alternative is demineralized bone matrix (DBM). The purpose of this paper is to describe and characterize the prop...

Biomimetically enhanced demineralized bone matrix for bone regenerative applications

Demineralized bone matrix (DBM) is one of the most widely used bone graft materials in dentistry. However, the ability of DBM to reliably and predictably induce bone regeneration has always been a cause for concern. The quality of DBM varies greatly depending on several donor dependent factors and also manufacturing techniques. In order to standardize the quality and to enable reliable and pred...

Bone augmentation using a new injectable bone graft substitute by combining calcium phosphate and bisphosphonate as composite—an animal model

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to create a new injectable bone graft substitute by combining the features of calcium phosphate and bisphosphonate as a composite bone graft to support bone healing and to evaluate the effect of alendronate to the bone healing process in an animal model. MATERIAL AND METHOD In this study, 24 New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into two groups: a...
